Raised in Lawrence, Kansas, Shawn majored in Business Administration at the University of Kansas. He launched his long-term tenure in the industry as a realtor in 1990, then started his own construction company. He served as Division President for Stewart Title before joining the residential lending side of the business. Shawn chose The Federal Savings Bank as his new professional home because the company’s mission aligns with his personal passion: To offer home lending solutions that empower families to create a place called home.
Shawn’s career spans nearly 30 years in real estate, new construction, title insurance, and mortgage lending. He applies the knowledge he’s gained over the years to find personalized solutions for his clients’ homeownership needs. With his past experience as a realtor, Shawn also understands the agent’s side of the transaction. He can help both homebuyers and their realtors easily navigate the mortgage process to a smooth, seamless closing. Shawn always says his goal is to take the mystery out of mortgages. Education and communication are key, so he makes sure clients know their options and what to expect at each step. Shawn also stays up to date on interest rate movement, industry changes, and loan programs. He really does want to be a true resource during the process and beyond the closing table.
When he’s not helping people become homeowners, supporting industry peers in growing their business, or researching the latest lending trends, Shawn devotes his time to his wife and their four children.
