To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law under the USA Patriot Act requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
One section of the USA Patriot Act says we must:
Verify the identity of any person seeking to open an account (which includes Trust, Investments, Safe Deposit, Loans and Deposit Accounts).
Maintain records of the information used to verify the person’s identity including name, address, date of birth, and information that will allow us to identify you.
The Federal Savings Bank will follow this Federal law by verifying picture identification card(s), such as your driver’s license or other identifying documents. In some cases, picture identification will be requested for existing customers because original documentation was not obtained when the account was opened. In all cases, protection of our customer’s identity and confidentiality is the Bank’s pledge to you.
We proudly support all efforts to protect and maintain the security of our customers and our country.
