James Medina is originally from Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Northeastern Illinois University on the city’s Northwest side. He has over 20 years of experience in the banking world. In that time, he has had various roles which have helped him develop into the seasoned banker he is today. Most recently he was a Consumer Lending Manager at his previous financial institution. Other roles he has had are Consumer Financial Center Manager and Collections Manager as well as a Business Development role.

In his journey through the banking world, James has gained knowledge and expertise in the lending and collections fields. He has a great grasp of underwriting and consumer loan origination. James prides himself on building relationships with his clients and understanding his customers immediate and long-term goals and needs. He enjoys going through the loan process with his customers and making the loan experience as comfortable and understandable as possible. James is very much a people-person and enjoys the human interaction that comes with helping others achieve their financial goals. He enjoys networking with peers, customers, and business owners. He looks forward to helping as many The Federal Savings Bank borrowers as he can.

James currently lives in Mt. Prospect, Illinois where he enjoys volunteering in his community. James has been on the board of a local Chamber of Commerce. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and family as well as their cat and dog. He has a knack for working with his hands and is currently restoring an older muscle car. James is also a landlord, and he looks forward to DIY projects. For leisure he likes to take long walks and watch movies.
