Margoth Castilla was born in Barranquilla, Colombia a very lovely town on the Caribbean Cost. She attended Armenia Quindio where she graduated with a degree in Philosophy and Theology, and later obtained her Master’s degree in Communication and Journalism from the University of Autonoma del Caribe. Prior to joining the mortgage industry, Margoth worked as a journalist with the second largest newspaper in the county and simultaneously worked with the TV Channel as a camera technician. Margoth eventually moved to the New York. She learned English at Wagner College, and obtained another Master’s Degree in Mass Communications from New York Institute of Technology. After working for a few years in publishing, she made a career change to work in real estate.
Margoth worked in real estate for seven years before transitioning into the mortgage industry. Margoth brings 17 years of experience to The Federal Savings Bank. She prides herself on making sure her clients understand the mortgage process from application to close. Margoth ensures her clients receive the best guidance when looking to obtain a mortgage for either a purchase, refinance, second home or investing in a home. She makes sure she fully understands her clients immediate and long term goals before presenting them with their mortgage options. Margoth is also fluent in Spanish, and enjoys helping as many people as possible achieve their dream of home ownership.
Margoth currently lives in New York City. When she is away from work she enjoys tai chi, yoga, walking, reading mystical and religious books, and collecting stones.
