Scott Devoto graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2002 with a double major in Finance/Banking as well as Economics. After graduating, Scott worked as a financial planner for over 4 years before being hired by one of his clients to work in the commercial real estate and consumer finance industry. After almost four years excelling in this line of work, Scott pivoted to a focus on insurance where he owned and operated an insurance company specializing in home, auto, and life insurance for the education community. After 11 years, Scott sold his insurance business and came back to real estate lending with a focus on VA loans for the past three years.

Scott joined The Federal Savings Bank as a mortgage banker in order to expand the loan offerings that he is able to provide. With over 20 years of financial services experience, he has the knowledge and expertise to assist every borrower through the process of selecting and structuring their best mortgage for their unique scenario. With his experience in personal finance, as well as extensive experience with home insurance, Scott is able to add additional value to the experience a buyer has when using Scott and his team as their trusted mortgage advisor. Scott currently lives in Columbia, MO with his wife, Sarah, of 19 years, along with their two children and three cats. His daughter is a freshman in high school who was a manager for the football program and is currently on the Track and Field team participating in the long jump. She is also learning to play the guitar. His son is in third grade and enjoys Taekwondo (Green belt) and basketball. He is also an avid gamer and loves playing dad at chess. The family enjoys spending time together and cheering on their favorite local teams; the Missouri Tigers (Mizzou), Kansas City Chiefs, and the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues.
