Following graduation from Boston College, where he earned a degree in accounting and an ROTC commission in the U.S. Army, George Downey served as an Infantry Officer at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After returning to civilian life, he began a career in sales, eventually becoming Northeast Regional Sales Manager of the company he was with at the time.
A career transition to financial services happened later down the road, and George hasn’t looked back since. He quickly found success in his role and quickly earned his way to becoming Vice President. This experience was the forerunner to his founding of Harbor Mortgage Solutions, Inc., a residential mortgage company. Harbor specialized in serving wealth managers and other financial professionals providing traditional and innovative financing solutions to their clients’ varied needs. George is ecstatic that he and the Harbor team are now joining forces with The Federal Savings Bank!
George is joined by his son, Chris (co-manager of The Federal Savings Bank Massachusetts branch), his daughter, Pam Connolly, and longtime associate, Brett Kirkpatrick. George and his wife, Gail, reside in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
