Stephanie Hickman brings a rich blend of education and over two decades of professional expertise to The Federal Savings Bank. A proud native of Waukegan, Illinois, Stephanie embarked on her academic journey at Northern Illinois University, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, and Public Relations. She furthered her education at Villanova University, focusing on Human Resources Management.
Stephanie has over 20 years of industry experience. Her journey with us began in loan processing, where her dedication and commitment were clear. Over the years, she has shown exceptional leadership qualities as a Department Leader, progressing through roles such as Regional Manager, National Manager, SVP Processing Operations, and most recently, SVP People Experience. She was named one of Mortgage Banking’s Most Powerful Women issued by National Mortgage Professional Magazine 2018, and she proves why every single day.
Stephanie is extremely enthusiastic about creating workplaces where employees thrive and grow. With incredible real estate and leadership experience, she has had the privilege of leading teams and initiatives that prioritize employee engagement, well-being, and the strategic people management functions. Her career journey has allowed her to champion an inclusive and positive work culture, drive organizational development, and enhance talent management. Stephanie genuinely believes that when people are at the core of an organization’s success, the possibilities are limitless.
Outside of her professional realm, Stephanie enjoys life in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, with her husband, their “Jujitsu-loving” son, and two beloved dogs. An avid reader and outdoor enthusiast, she cherishes her time spent in nature and with literature. Committed to community service, Stephanie serves on the board of Camp Jorn YMCA, a non-profit summer camp, and actively mentors first-generation high school students and their families through Waukegan to College, guiding them on their journey to higher education.
