As the National Director of Retail Mortgage Lending for The Federal Savings Bank, Neil is responsible for all five of the bank’s retail mortgage banking divisions and its offices across all 50 states. The Federal Savings Bank is one of the largest retail bank lenders in the United States; Neil leads the effort that is core to our mission of serving customers in residential home lending. After nine years as a Divisional Manager with the bank, Neil took the helm of the retail lending group in early 2024.
A nationally recognized mortgage executive with more than 35 years in the mortgage industry, Neil has appeared as a mortgage expert on a wide variety of shows including CNBC, Bloomberg, the Today Show, ABC World News Tonight and has been cited in hundreds of articles and publications. He is the former Chief Executive Officer of IPI Skyscraper which was the nation’s largest mortgage brokerage company. He is also a former New York Area Manager of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where he ran the private mortgage bank and retail lending offices throughout the New York Metropolitan area. Throughout his career, Neil has taken particular pride in mentoring and developing future leaders.
A Manhattan native, Neil lives with his family on the Upper West Side. A father of two fabulous adult children, Neil also became the lucky dad to his new son born in 2019. He is an alum of The Allen Stevenson School and the Riverdale Country School. He attended The American College of Switzerland and graduated from the University of Rochester. Neil is a former board member and Vice Chairman of Habitat for Humanity NY, where he was actively involved in supporting the mission of affordable housing in this country and abroad. He is also the former House Chairman and board member at the Harmonie Club in NY. He is proficient in Spanish, with a working knowledge of French, Italian and Portuguese.
