Neil Bader joined The Federal Savings Bank in 2015 as Regional Senior Vice President. He has led the sales team in the Northeast region, which encompasses the New York, New Jersey, and New England regions. He is also tasked with overseeing the Corporate Affinity program.
Neil is a nationally recognized mortgage executive with over 35 years of experience in the industry. He has appeared as a mortgage expert on a wide variety of shows including CNBC, Bloomberg, the Today Show, ABC World News Tonight, and CNN. He has been cited in hundreds of articles and publications. As the former Chief Executive Officer of the nation’s largest mortgage brokerage company, Crain’s NY Business named him one of New York “rising stars” in their 40 under 40 publication.
Neil joined Skyscraper Mortgage Company in 1988, becoming the Chief Executive Officer in 1992 and then of the merged entity IPI Skyscraper in 1999. Neil built it into the nation’s largest brokerage upon its sale in 2001. After taking a short contractual hiatus, he returned to the mortgage business at Wells Fargo. In running the Retail and Private Mortgage Banking teams in New York, he took a dormant brand and grew it into the largest volume originator of mortgages in the New York area, eclipsing Chase Manhattan as the overall market leader in 2008.
Neil attended The American College of Switzerland and then graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester.
Originally from Manhattan, Neil grew up on the Upper East Side where he continues to live with his family. He is a former board member and Vice Chairman of Habitat for Humanity NY, where he was actively involved in supporting the mission of affordable housing in this country and abroad. He is proficient in Spanish, Portuguese, and has a working knowledge of French and Italian.
