Herbie Huesman

Herbie Huesman is a seasoned banking executive with more than 25 years of experience, including over two decades in mortgage banking. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he maintains strong ties to both Cincinnati and Washington, D.C., which he considers dual hometowns. A former student-athlete, Herbie attended the University of Notre Dame on a diving scholarship—an experience that helped shape his discipline, resilience, and team-first mindset.

Over the course of his career, Herbie has held a wide range of leadership roles across the mortgage ecosystem at several banks. He began in Mortgage Capital Markets, where he led secondary marketing and mortgage servicing rights and went on to lead all of Real Estate Lending. His leadership has spanned Sales, Secondary Marketing, Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSRs), Product Development, Post-Closing, Investor Relations, Home Equity, and Servicing. Known for his strategic mindset, he has evolved into a transformational leader focused on driving growth, optimizing performance, and navigating complex market environments.

Herbie is deeply committed to a people-first leadership philosophy, believing that success starts with investing in people. He prioritizes building strong, collaborative teams and fostering a culture where individuals feel valued, empowered, and aligned around a shared mission.

Now based in the Tampa Bay area, Herbie enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle—whether it’s golfing, working in the yard, or simply soaking up the Florida sunshine year-round. A passionate hockey family, he and his wife are devoted fans of the Washington Capitals, and they spend much of their time supporting their teenage daughter, an avid ice hockey player who thrives at the rink. The household is rounded out by two long-haired German Shepherds and two energetic cats, making for a lively and full home.
