As Director of Capital Markets at The Federal Savings Bank, Chuck Smith leads secondary marketing, a full-service department that includes a centralized lock desk and multiple loan commitment strategies to limit risk while increasing revenue. In addition, Chuck manages all investor relationships.
Chuck has 37 years of experience in the finance industry, including 18 years in fixed income trading with an emphasis on the treasury yield curve. Chuck has spent the last 19 years trading and hedging mortgage products. He was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade from 1994 to 2005 and holds a degree from The University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
In addition to his professional experience, he was President of the Wilmette Hockey Association from 2005 to 2012 and President of the North Shore Ice Arena LLC from 2008 to 2012. He has been a board member of the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois since 2010, and he was previously on the Advisory Board for Catholic Charities of Chicago.
