Jim was born in Chicago, IL and moved to San Diego, CA in 1959 when his father was one of the first employees for American Airlines at San Diego International Airport. Jim attended Patrick Henry High School and got his first job in Advertising, selling radio commercials. Later he opened his own Advertising Agency doing TV, Radio and Print Advertising for small business clients. Jim started his Banking career in the early 90’s at a large Bank in the Auto Lease Financing department and eventually moved to Home Equity Loans.
With over 30 years of mortgage lending experience, from Loan Originator to Senior Executive positions and Presidents Club recognition, Jim has the knowledge and expertise to help his borrowers with their individual housing goals. Jim is a Certified Military Home Specialist and has extensive experience in VA Loans and most recently has started focusing on helping adults 55 years and older with HECM (Reverse Mortgage) loans. From first time home buyers to the client who wants to age in place with a HECM loan, Jim will guide you through the options and process, and he takes pride in his is 5-star review history with his clients.
Jim resides in rural San Diego, California with is spouse of 50 years and a son and daughter with two grandchildren. He enjoys annual travel to Paris, France or Vancouver, Canada. In his free time, Jim can be found working in the yard, feeding or watching birds, going on daily walks and listening to audiobooks. Family time and volunteering for causes helping older adults are also very important aspects of Jim’s life.
