Eric Johnson is a seasoned mortgage professional bringing over 24 years of experience to your transaction. He has been with the Federal Savings Bank (formerly Chicago Bancorp) mortgage group since it’s inception in the fall of 1995. He is one of the original five founding members. Eric was the first sales manager to build and train a team of loan officers and many of them went on to enjoy successful careers.
Eric grew up in the Midwest and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana, graduating with a BS in Finance from the School of Business. After graduation he moved to Chicago and started his career as a sales representative with a global computer manufacturing company. While there, Eric attended the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and earned his MBA. After about 10 years, Eric decided selling money to provide the opportunity for homeownership would be more fulfilling than computers and software, so he jumped into the mortgage business.
Magy is Eric’s wife of thirteen years and Camille is their twelve-year-old daughter. They split their time between a condo in Chicago and a home in La Crosse, WI. Technology and the tools available allow him to offer mortgages and work with borrowers, Realtors and attorneys around the country. In his free time, Eric enjoys being with his family, reading, cooking, skiing and racing sailboats. Other activities he enjoys are hiking, snowshoeing and crossword puzzles. He is also very active in the La Crosse Rotary Club, La Crosse Sailing Club and Columbia Yacht Club.
