Herbie Huesman serves as Executive Vice President, Home Lending at The Federal Savings Bank, where he leads the development and expansion of a new Retail Lending Division. Launching in the Tampa Bay area with a long-term vision for national growth, he is responsible for driving strategy, performance, and execution across the home lending business.
With more than 25 years of experience, including over two decades in mortgage banking, Herbie has held leadership roles across the mortgage ecosystem. He began his career in Mortgage Capital Markets, leading secondary marketing and mortgage servicing rights, and later led all of Real Estate Lending. His experience spans Sales, Secondary Marketing, Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSRs), Product Development, Post-Closing, Investor Relations, Home Equity and Servicing.
Known for his strategic and people-first leadership style, Herbie focuses on building strong, collaborative teams and aligning them around a shared mission. At The Federal Savings Bank, he is committed to developing talent and creating an environment where individuals feel empowered to perform at a high level.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Herbie maintains strong ties to both Cincinnati and Washington, D.C. He attended the University of Notre Dame on a diving scholarship, where he developed the discipline and resilience that continue to shape his leadership approach.
At home in the Tampa Bay area, Herbie enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors and supporting his teenage daughter’s passion for ice hockey alongside his wife. Their household is rounded out by two long-haired German Shepherds and two energetic cats, making for a lively and full home.
