George Lourigan was awarded a full Army ROTC scholarship to attend Clemson University. George’s success at Clemson culminated in his senior year when he was awarded the Clemson University Distinguished Military Graduate recognizing his high academic achievement and outstanding military leadership. Following Graduation George served 30 years in the US Army, the Texas Army National Guard and the US Army Reserves. He served as a helicopter instructor pilot, maintenance test pilot, company commander and numerous operations officer positions throughout the world.

George brings over ten years of mortgage lending experience to his new position as Vice President with The Federal Savings Bank. Throughout his career as a Mortgage Banker, George has earned an excellent reputation with his clients and referral partners as the go to person for advice, action and results. In today’s world of mortgage lending, having the right partner as your guide can make the difference between success and failure. With countless regulations and compliance requirements, George effectively and smoothly navigates his clients through any obstacles to insure they have a successful and positive home buying experience. George is a relentless advocate for his clients and has an excellent track record of delivering on his commitments.

When George is not working with his clients, he is the proud father of seven children ranging from 14 to 32 and has four granddaughters. He is active in St Helen Catholic Church volunteering in numerous areas including teaching high school youth, organizing events, Life Chain and the Speakers Bureau of the Diocese of Austin. George mentors elementary and middle school students each week in the Georgetown Independent School District and serves as a Mentor Ambassador. He is extremely active in The Rotary Club of Georgetown where he has served on the board of directors for over 7 years, helps build wheelchair ramps one Saturday a month and helps raise money for rotary projects both locally and around the world. In his spare time, George serves as the President of the Churchill Farms Home Owners Association, delivers meals on wheels, volunteers at “Heroes Night Out” (a Veterans Resource Center) and raises his own vegetables.
