Thomas McKnight’s career spans both finance and law. He served in the Marine Corps for three years before attending Miami University for his BS in Business, followed by The Ohio State University for his Juris Doctor. After receiving his degrees, Thomas worked in the White House where he focused on privacy as the nation created its network of automated clearing houses. Thomas’ career in finance includes a Series 7 license as a financial advisor. Later he taught entrepreneurship for five years at Columbia University’s Graduate Business School in New York, a course that led to his teaching at Georgetown University, Denver University, the University of North Dakota, University of Maryland, and American University. His book chronicled these years and was named the number one must-read business book in America for 2009.

Thomas is returning to the financial world as a Certified Mortgage Banker working for The Federal Savings Bank. With the ability to originate loans in every state, Thomas works with clients in more than 25 cities in the country. He works in both Crofton, Maryland and Santa Ana, California.

Thomas is married to Marian Sabety, and resides in both Washington DC and Sanibel, Florida. He is devoted to his family and is the proud grandfather to two little girls. When away from work he enjoys playing golf at the Washington Golf and Country Club, where he is a long time member. Additionally, Thomas loves photography, classical music, and amateur radio (K8SIQ). For more than a decade he has been a member of the Cosmos Club. He is also devoted to the Marines, his fraternity brothers, his high school classmates, baseball, his puggle named Levi, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
