Tommy Burke has worked for over 13 years in finance and has helped over 1,000 families purchase their dream home. Before working in the mortgage business, Tommy spent several years at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) & Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). He also served as senior vice president of an alternative investment firm that specialized in niche, asset-based financing for real estate investors. His robust experience in finance allows him to provide unique and comprehensive service for his clients.
The grandson of a Marine Corps Korean War veteran & Chicago Fire Dept. Chief, Tommy’s grandfather instilled in him a passion for service which he carries over to his clients. During Tommy’s time in residential financing, he has managed and founded two VA specific lending divisions and provided the top level training to his team so they can best serve our veterans. It’s this passion for our veterans that brought him to The Federal Savings Bank. Due to his extensive knowledge base that spans across VA, Conventional, & asset-based financing programs, Tommy prides himself on tailoring finance programs specific to each individual client’s needs and goals.
Tommy resides on the Northside of Chicago, a mile west of Wrigley Field in the same neighborhood he was born and raised. When he’s not meeting with clients and realtor partners, he enjoys walking his dog, serving at his neighborhood parish, and watching Chicago sports. He is also the founder, CEO, and board Chair of “The Camino Projectâ€, a non-for-profit scholarship fund that provides leadership development for young adults in disadvantaged neighborhoods of Chicago.
