Steve is a life-long Elgin-ite and has a true passion for helping seniors. He has earned numerous degrees including being a ‘Certified Senior Advisor’ (CSA) and is CPR Certified. He has always been a people person and has always had a special connection to seniors. From selling retail to customer relations, for over 15 years he has been in the mortgage and banking field. He turned his focus and passion to Reverse Mortgages in 2002. Since then he has helped 100’s of seniors to remain in their home by tapping into their equity.

Steve meets with families often evening hours or weekends so adult children can attend to learn about the Reverse Mortgage process. Whether the need is to extinguish a current mortgage payment, freeing up much needed cash flow for other bills, or maybe a new challenge financially due to loss of spouse, additional expenses due to medical, in-home care, or maybe home modification like a chair lift, or first floor bathroom, Steve shows how a Reverse Mortgage can be the financial solution for so many situations. He hosts two different senior radio shows on WRMN 1410 on your AM dial; ‘The Senior Spotlight’ is now 9:00am Fridays and Senior Focus is now the 2nd Tuesday at 8:15. Steve is an active member of 6 senior organizations, and interacts with the City of Elgin on senior issues as well as the Elgin Police Dept. and the Kane County Sheriff’s Dept. He is a past Elgin Township Trustee where he was instrumental in the inception of new senior programs and benefits. Steve Emcees many senior events and annually presents the Fox Valley Area’s prestigious ‘Friend to Senior’ award from the Elgin Senior Provider Network. He plays Santa at Christmas for both the Seniors and children, and is a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. In 2009, he received the special ‘Elgin Image Award’ presented by the Mayor for his community volunteer work with seniors.

Steve owns a Model T and a Model A Ford and often gives rides to seniors as well as regular tours through his Elgin Historic House, the famed ‘Wing Mansion’ on Highland Ave. Steve truly is a friend to seniors and someone you should know. Steve lives in the Wing Mansion with the most special person in his life, his wife Maureen and their dogs, Coco and George.
