Steven H. Smith Jr. graduated from the Community College of the Air Force with a degree in Aviation Operations. As a Master Sergeant, he was a non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force where he completed 5 deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve in multiple roles as a Combat Rescue Special Mission Aviator. During this time, he developed a passion for helping others in their time of need. He joined the elite team of mortgage bankers at The Federal Savings Bank in 2024.
Integrity is something that was instilled in Steven from the military. He believes that nothing is more important than a person’s character, and that honesty is one of the most important traits. As a Mortgage Banker, Steven understands that every loan scenario is different. He believes in building relationships and setting high standards to provide clear and concise information throughout the loan process. His professionalism and expertise allow him to create an effective solution for his clients even in the most challenging situations. His goal is to inspire home buyers and create wealth for them and their families.
Steven currently resides in Long Island, New York. Outside the office, he has two young children that he coaches and enjoys taking them to their afterschool activities including Jiu Jitsu, baseball, soccer, golf, gymnastics, wrestling, and cub scouts. He is also the director of military affairs for the Dashan J. Briggs Foundation, which raises funds for student scholarships and creating seminars and workshops that offer lessons in applied life skills. Dashan and Steven flew together in the military until Dashan was killed in action on March 15, 2018. This organization is part of the Suffolk County Veteran Run Series with a 5k run, walk or ruck on Memorial Day weekend every year in Calverton, NY.
