Steven Romagnolo

Senior Vice President

Steven Romagnolo has 25 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, he began working as a loan officer in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. In 1991 Steven was tasked to develop and grow a wholesale lending platform for a federally chartered bank in the New England region. After the successful development and implementation of the wholesale lending platform, Steven opened up his own mortgage brokerage company. Steven expanded his company into four states with 40 employees that focused on serving the needs of the high end residential retail clients. Steven sold his company to a local bank and began to focus on growing his career.

Steven joined The Federal Savings Bank after sweeping regulatory changes made it apparent that a new platform was necessary. After an exhaustive study of the industry as a whole, he realized that The Federal Savings Bank was the absolute right combination of leadership and capabilities required to succeed. The platform built by the management of the bank is superior to any other platform that exists in the mortgage banking space. The combination of federal charter, technology (web and mobile), investor partnerships, process and secondary market capability is dominant when compared to other participants in the space. The fact that the bank is both veteran owned and veteran focused solidified that the organization is grounded with the values and commitment needed for success.

Steven grew up in Southeastern Massachusetts, and is married with two grown, college educated children. He and his wife have a beagle that keeps their life interesting. When away from work, Steven enjoys watching sports particularly the New England franchises. Steven is also a world traveler. Good food, good wine, family and friends are all he needs to find fulfillment.
