Steve Kalscheur did his undergraduate work in California majoring in Business Management. In 1998 he received a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in Urban and Regional Planning. He started lending in 1999, where he helped buyers and sellers purchase homes in the Madison, WI market as well as developed a lending business where he specialized in FHA and government financing programs. Steve has won numerous client and customer service awards over the years because of his strong work ethic and commitment to his client’s long term financial well-being.

With 10 years of lending experience under his belt Steve has advanced his career into specialized methods of helping retirees better understand and use reverse mortgages. Offering Government Insured HECM (Home Equity Conversion Mortgage) loan options, he can better help retirees reach their goals using home equity.

Steve’s considerable research and educational back-ground allows him to provide state-wide education classes to a variety of senior and retirement oriented businesses. In June 2015, he provided an educational class to the State Bar of Wisconsin on HECM reverse mortgages. The event has since provided numerical evidence through studies showing HECM as a reliable planning vehicle. Currently, he is working on several planning initiatives including a Wisconsin-based ageing in place chapter, and in the future, he plans to use this expertise to show how HECM’s can be structured to benefit estate planning.

Steve resides in Madison, WI and has a year old son. He enjoys volunteering for non-profits, traveling and spending time outdoors with his son playing sports. His is also an avid cook, and enjoys spending time with family.
