Peter Citera is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford Ohio where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration in 1997. During his tenure at Miami, he participated in numerous student groups and organizations, perhaps none more influential in his post-collegiate life than the Miami University Marching Band, where he was named to the position of Managing Director after two years. Managing the day-to-day operations and finances of this 300-member organization directly led to Peter’s rock-solid understanding of budgeting and finance.

After graduation, Mr. Citera worked in Information Technology until he found his true calling in the Mortgage Banking field in 1999. Since entering the field, Peter has become a recognized expert in residential mortgage finance. In addition to his mortgage banking activities, the prestigious Real Estate Institute has contracted with Mr. Citera to develop and instruct pre-license and continuing education courses for Mortgage Loan Originators. Peter holds Loan Originator licenses in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Florida, and is an active member in many industry groups.

A firm believer in the “customer for life” principle, Peter’s greatest asset to his clients is his level of service and unparalleled understanding of the mortgage process, from application to underwriting to closing and funding. As a partner in a large mortgage firm prior to joining The Federal Savings Bank, Mr. Citera participated in all facets of the home lending process, and knows how to avoid the pitfalls that others don’t, enabling him to get clients’ loans to closing on-time and with no surprises.

Peter is a lifelong resident of the Chicago area and participates in many local activities. Mr. Citera is also President and CEO of Windy City Darters, Inc., which runs the largest single-city dart league in the United States. He was inducted into the National Darts Hall of Fame in 2005 for his service to the game on a local, national and international level.
