Mike Walker graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He served nine years in the U.S. Air Force including three deployments in Afghanistan with Combat Search and Rescue where he and his team members were credited with multiple lives saved. Mike served with distinction, being awarded Air Medals and the Outstanding Unit Award with Valor, and was once selected as the top company-grade officer of the month for the entire Afghanistan theater of operations. He also graduated with honors from the Air Force’s Squadron Officer School. Mike honorably separated from the U.S. Air Force in 2007. Following his military service, he continued to excel in senior leadership and large-scale project management roles in both manufacturing and distribution for eight years. During this time, he supervised assembly lines, directed regional operations and managed extensive, multi-million-dollar modernization projects at several distribution centers.
Looking for a career change that focused more on helping people, Mike made the transition into the mortgage industry. He is now a Mortgage Banker with The Federal Savings Bank. Mike’s goal is to find the best products to help his clients finance the home of their dreams. Mike prides himself on understanding the needs of his clients, and finding the very best solution to efficiently help borrowers meet their immediate and long term goals. His enthusiasm, positive attitude and focus on customer service along with industry-leading training provides Mike with the skills to guide his clients smoothly through the mortgage lending process.
In his spare time Mike enjoys traveling with his wife, competing in triathlons, photography and outdoor activities including mountaineering, skydiving, SCUBA diving, skiing/snowboarding and kayaking.
