Mary Jo has been in the mortgage lending industry for 35 years. She graduated from Amarillo College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. She has also lived in Amarillo, Texas, Kansas City, Missouri, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mary Jo has a broad range of experience which includes all facets of mortgage lending, from processing to underwriting to post closing, and most recently as a mortgage loan officer. She has a passion for helping people find the right product to meet their financial needs.

Mary Jo understands that she plays an important role when it comes to helping seniors examine financing options available to them with the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage products available at The Federal Savings Bank. She has helped thousands of people find the right mortgage loan for their financial needs. While living in Kansas City, Missouri, she began working in the reverse mortgage industry and saw what a difference the HECM product could make in senior's lives. She has partnered with many financial planners and local businesses to educate people about how a reverse mortgage works. She believes that education about the product is vital and she is committed to helping educate as many people as she can about how a reverse mortgage can be used as a financial tool and can be used as part of their retirement funding plan.

Giving back to the community has always been important to Mary Jo. She has volunteered as a Meals on Wheels driver for Horizons Family Services in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Elder Services in Iowa City, Iowa. She serves on the Habitat for Humanity fundraising committee with the Cedar Rapids Area Association of Realtors. During her leisure time, Mary Jo enjoys riding her road bicycle and taking trips to explore great riding trails across the Midwest and beyond. She and her fiancé, Reid, also enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking, and spending time outdoors. She has two adult children Charlie and Joseph, both graduated from the University of Iowa. Charlie lives in Denver, Co and Joseph lives in North Liberty, Iowa. She has a very large family which consists of six sisters and one brother, all live in Iowa and they love spending time together. Family is very important to Mary Jo.
