Karen Gruninger started her career in the mortgage industry in 1986, and knew she had found her passion. Throughout her career, she experienced great success in become a mortgage banker and starting her own company in 1994. Karen ran a successful mortgage company focused on builder business up until 2008, when the real estate downturn caused her to close her business. Not deterred, she transitioned her career into commercial banking where she served on the board of directors. In addition to commercial banking, Karen also did contract work for attorney’s that focused on helping with loan modifications, debt settlement and bankruptcies. After a 5 year leave from being actively involved in the lending industry, she realized she wanted to return to the industry she is passionate about.

Karen has brought her passion and expertise to The Federal Savings Bank. She relies on her vast experience to help her clients achieve the dream of homeownership. Karen knows and understands that each of her clients are different, and works hard to help identify their immediate and long term financial goals. Karen’s strong attention to detail helps her identify the best loan product to meet her client’s goals. She strives to provide a seamless loan process that is driven by strong customer service to all her clients from those looking to purchase their first home or her builder referral sources.

Karen resides in Gilbert, AZ. She is happily married with 4 children and 10 grandchildren. Outside of work, her life is full of service for family, friends and community. Karen also enjoys working out, swimming, running and best of all getting weekly massages!!
