John earned a degree in Economics in 1981, then began his first career as a national bank examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He spent 12 years reviewing all types of bank loans, both consumer and business. He also developed an expertise in consumer protection laws which included mortgage lending. After many years of constant traveling, he changed careers by becoming a Certified Financial Planner, working mostly with senior age clients. Over a four-year period, he originated many loans that enabled seniors to stay in their homes and put themselves in better financial situations.

John has returned to the mortgage industry field in order to again help homeowners better their situations wherever they may live. He is excited about working with The Federal Savings Bank, a nationwide lender that helps people all over America. From his experience as a bank examiner, he knows that a federally regulated bank like TFSB is required to work in the best interests of the borrower and must always maintain a high level of integrity.

In his leisure time, John is an avid reader who especially likes American history and classic novels. He has been married for 26 years and has two teenage children, whom he has taught to drive and loves to brag about.
