Jean Pigott

HECM Vice President

Jean Pigott graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia with a degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting with minors in Management and Marketing.

While finishing her work at Georgia State, Jean was employed as the Accounting Manager for the largest Financial Planning firm in the Southeast at that time. This professional environment led Jean to a successful and productive career as a Financial Advisor with national and regional firms for over ten years at Senior Vice President levels. This extensive background and experience naturally moved her into a personal interest to help Seniors (over 62) with Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECM) to understand what they need to know about this federally insured program. As a HECM Vice President at The Federal Savings Bank, Jean will address their personal concerns prior to qualifying and committing to a “lifetime” loan.

Jean and her husband Larry are residents of Tallahassee, Florida with a secondary residence in Pearl River, Louisiana across the lake from New Orleans. They are both from Bogalusa, Louisiana and were high school sweethearts. They have one son, two grandsons and one great granddaughter. Jean’s leisure time finds her at a piano working with her music. In addition to reading music, she has “played by ear” since she was five years old. Her mother made it look so easy. Jean often plays at a local cancer treatment center and takes requests from those who are waiting there. Jean is also an avid quilter (hand-piecing/hand-stitching) and uses the theme “Every Stitch Says I Love You” which is also the title of her workshops for mothers and their daughters who are homeschooled.
