James Lyles III

HECM Vice President

James L. Lyles III earned his degree in Economics from Brigham Young University. While studying full time at BYU, he worked at an FDIC-insured bank and moved through the ranks from a Sales Associate to Assistant Branch Manager. Knowing that he had a passion for the banking industry, James pursued it as a full time career. He was recruited by an international accounting and consulting firm to work as a financial/economic consultant serving their Fortune 500 clients and the federal government before transferring over to the investment banking world of mergers and acquisitions.

In 2002 seeking a change, he opened his own mortgage and real estate construction financing brokerage. After many successful years in the mortgage industry, he found his calling and niche within lending and decided to narrow his focus solely on helping hard-working Americans better plan for and enjoy their retirement. James has helped hundreds of people meet their financial goals through the options offered under the federally-insured Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) program. James loves helping his clients meet their goals and get what they want out of life and their retirement by better managing and increasing their cash flow.

James and his wife of 20 years have 4 children: 2 teens and 2 pre-teens. His oldest son just earned his Eagle Scout award and is helping his younger brother do the same. His daughters are talented award-winning singers who ensure the Lyles home is always full of music and happiness. James, the son of a retired Navy Corpsman, is actively involved in his community. During his downtime, he enjoys swimming, jogging, reading, blogging or travelling with his beautiful wife and children. He can also be found skateboarding in front of his home with the other kids on his cul-de-sac!
