Howard Tenn

HECM Vice President

In 1983, Howard Austin Tenn started his financial and investment planning career. He helped his clients save money and pay less taxes while accumulating assets for retirement. In 2000, he sold his practice and went back to college to study information systems and logistics. In 2004, he decided to escape the corporate world and opened a repair and re-modeling handyman services company. His passion for investing in stocks, bonds, real estate, and alternate investment strategies would eventually lead him back to the retirement planning world.

The 2008 financial crises have left most individuals retiring with large mortgage payments and very little retirement savings. Howard prides himself in helping clients choose the best retirement strategy for their financial needs. Today, Howard works with bankers, financial planners, wealth management advisors, and trust & estate professionals. He educates senior Americans and their families, how a HECM strategy can improve their retirement cash flow.

Howard has been married for over twenty-five years to Reina MacDonald, a retired General Counsel. Together they raised two Eagle Scouts, Cameron and Austin. Howard is also a personal management merit badge counselor, and is currently working with a newly formed BSA girl scout troop, helping them become Eagle Scouts.
