Greg Manion graduated from Tulane University with a degree in History. While he enjoyed learning about history, especially Louisiana history, his real interest was in marketing. Greg was asked by the president of the company to come work for him doing market research and implementing campaigns. After a few years in market research, Greg joined a large advertising agency specializing in bank and financial related entities.

After 3 years in advertising, Greg decided he wanted make a career change to the mortgage business. Greg joined a large national mortgage company in New Orleans, worked for several mortgage companies, and worked in correspondent banking for a large bank. Spending his entire career in New Orleans, Greg was survived hurricane Katrina, and worked to help with the recovery. He was hired as the Team Lead for the federally funded recovery program named “Road Home.” Greg and his team of 15 housing counselors helped thousands of homeowners who lost their homes obtain grants and loans to aid in their recovery. In the process, he started to learn about Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECM), and how they could help seniors obtain affordable financing for their home. Greg took much satisfaction in his duties at Road Home, and after his work was completed he went to work for a major bank helping seniors obtain HECMs.

Greg still lives in New Orleans. He is active in community affairs, volunteering with the Tulane Alumni association, Young Leadership Council, Public TV station WYES and WWOZ - a public not for profit radio station based in New Orleans. When Greg is not busy with work or community activities he exercises, reads, and tries to keep up with his Bulldog, aptly named “Mardi.”
