Growing up in Washington DC, born within a native Washingtonian family for 5 generations, son of a local developer and general contractor, Frank A. Perna Jr. always understood the value of hard work and dedication. As Senior Vice President of The Federal Savings Bank, Frank’s hard work has paid off in spades.
Frank was voted in 2021 by Washingtonian Magazine as the Best Mortgage Professional and Top Loan Producer. From 1993 to 2006 Frank created and sold one of the top privately owned mortgage banking firms in the United States. In addition, Frank was voted by Scotsman Guide in 2021 as a top loan producer in Washington DC. For over 38 years, Frank as served his real estate agents and customers providing creative ways to finance over 3 billion dollars in mortgages. In Frank’s spare time he has develops his own real estate projects from condos in Washington DC to second home development in Las Vegas. Last but not least, Frank is a charter captain on a commercial charter fishing boat in Rehoboth Beach Delaware providing his clients a different prospective of life at sea. In 2007 Frank funded the Patricia Perna Endowment at Virginia Tech providing scholarships to students for the benefit of Ovarian Cancer research. As a husband, father, and a grandfather, Frank has always strived to help others in need in all respects but particularly in the finance world.
Frank resides in Mclean, Virginia with his wife, Melanie Perna, and have been married for over 33 years.
