Michael Shukis graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Economics and Finance. After obtaining his degree, Michael entered the field of Residential Home Construction and eventually became the President of Shukis Builders Inc. After the recession disabled the home building industry, Michael began a career in mortgage and financial services. As a loan originator, Michael has helped numerous families save thousands of dollars by restructuring their current mortgage, aiding home buyers with down payment assistance programs, and finding the best mortgage product to meet their long term goals.

With more than 30 years of experience helping families achieve their dream of home ownership, Michael is passionate about providing his clients with a world class mortgage and home buying experience. Michael has earned the prestigious Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS®) designation, which focuses on bringing higher standards of competence, ethics, and communication to the home buying process. As a CMPS-certified professional, he helps homeowners and homebuyers compare loan options more effectively. Additionally, he helps real estate agents improve the homebuying process, and aids financial advisers on how to integrate mortgage planning into their financial advisory practice.

Michael resides in Naperville with his wife of 30 years and two children. His family is active in the performing arts, high school sports, playing with the family dog and cheering on the Blackhawks. Michael is passionate about human rights and is currently Secretary and Board Member of the Chicago Human Rights Authority.
